Junior Facilitators

Joint Civic Education's Country Programs, like Time for Development, offer outstanding alumni fellows the opportunity to become qualified as facilitators by Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg. These fellows receive both international multi-day training in the theory and methods of active citizenship education and project management, as well as intensive on-the-job training where they can try out their new competences in real situations. The whole training process follows our self-directed learning concept and is conducted using individual learning portfolios.

Junior facilitators become acquainted with mentoring fellows during the design and implementation of their civil society projects and supervisors are present throughout the whole process in order to guarantee the high standards of Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg. In 2013, Joint Civic Education will train approximately 15 junior facilitators from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia and Turkey.
